ASME Standard Seamless Serpentine Tube Stainless Welded Carbon Superheater Coil
Specific requirements are:
1. Superheater and steam pipe metals are required to have sufficiently high creep strength, durable strength and durable plasticity. In the calculation of superheater tube strength, the high temperature endurance strength limit is the main basis, and then the creep limit is used to check. When the metal of superheater tube is of high lasting strength, on the one hand, it can guarantee the safe operation under creep condition, on the other hand, it can avoid the difficulty in processing and operation caused by too thick tube wall.
2. It is required that the metal of superheater tube has good stability in microstructure and properties during long-term operation at high temperature.
3. Good process performance is required, especially the welding performance is good. The superheater tube is also required to have good cold working performance.
4. High oxidation resistance of steel is required. It is generally required that the superheater tube metal be oxidized to a depth of less than 0.1 mm/year at operating temperature (i.e. tube wall temperature).
Serpentine Tube Introduction
Serpentine Tube are widely used in Heat Exchanger Systems.
The function of the superheater tube is to absorb heat. The seamless boiler steel tube or heat-resistant alloy steel tube is bent into a snake shape, and both ends are welded to the inlet and outlet containers respectively.
The Serpentine Tube Comply With The Following Standards:
1. ASTM A688/ASME SA688
2. ASTM A803/ASME SA803
3. ASTM A556/ASME SA556

Some of the quality tests carried out by us includes:
Corrosion Test | Conducted only when specially requested by the client |
Chemical Analysis | Test done as per required quality standards |
Destructive / Mechanical Testing | Tensile | Hardness | Flattening | Flare | Flange |
Reverse-bend and Re. flat tests | Carried out in full compliance with relevant standards & ASTM A-450 and A-530 norms, which ensures trouble-free expansion, welding & use at customers end |
Eddy Current Testing | Done to detect homogeneities in subsurface by using Digital Flaw-mark Testing System |
Hydrostatic Testing | 100% Hydrostatic Testing carried out according to ASTM-A 450 norms for checking tube leakage, and biggest pressure we can support 20Mpa/7s . |
Air Under Pressure Test | To check any evidence of air leakage |
Visual Inspection | After passivation, every single length of tubes & pipes is subjected to thorough visual inspection by trained staff for detecting surface flaws & other imperfections |
Supplementary Testing : Apart from the above mentioned tests, we also carry out on the manufactured products supplementary testing. The tests conducted under this include:
· Eddy Current Testing · O.P Testing · Radiography Testing | · Corrosion Testing · Micro Testing · Macro Testing | · IGC Testing · Ultrasonic testing · Liquid Penetrate testing |
